How much attention do you pay to e-mail presidential electioneering gossip?

"I have had quite a lot lately because of the election. The controversy of the runners has increased that. It’s usually from friends to friends, and co-workers to co-workers. To be honest, it does pique my interest, but I try not to pay too much attention to it because it’s all what I feel inside that really matters. I don’t want to let others sway my opinion. It’s also hard to choose (by watching TV) because everything is so biased depending on who owns the stations. It’s a tough call between the two candidates, and I don’t know who I’ll vote for yet."

"I do get some at home, but not a lot. I don’t pay a lot of attention to them. It’s mainly from friends sending to friends. When I get them I sometimes read them, but if they have attachments I don’t open them. Sometimes I’ll laugh at them, and sometimes I’ll just skim them real quick, and that’s it. It’s yes and no whether some do have credibility, but if I was to make my vote based on an e-mail, I’d say no. Sometimes you get funny ones about both candidates, usually more about Obama. Some are slanderous, but I don’t hold a lot of weight to them. I know pretty much the way I’ll vote, after reading the newspapers and watching some TV."

"I think it’s just a bunch of nonsense, and I don’t really pay attention to it. I don’t necessarily get it to my e-mail, but my dad gets it all the time and I check it out and just tell him it’s a bunch of garbage. All of the gossip around, even on the (TV) news, is the same. I’m normally Republican, especially with these two candidates — I really wanted Rudi Guilliano to get involved — so I’m just going to go with my side, even though I don’t like either one of them."
