To what extent are you a pack rat?

"It depends upon what I’m packing away. For me, it’s usually tools, any supplies I might need around the house, and artistic things including favorite music and books. I went overboard a little when I was younger, because I had the room, the space and the money, but I don’t have it anymore. I used to collect anything I could get my hands on. On a scale of 10, I’d now be four tops as a pack rat."

"I’ve always collected clothes, and I have never been able to get rid of them. And I haven’t wanted to either. Lots are clothes that I never wear. I got married 25 years ago, and I still have clothes from that time. I’m starting to change, though, and I actually started last night (July 28). I’m going to give stuff to Goodwill. I already have a bag of stuff. But it’s hard, because I’m not used to it. I don’t really pack rat anything else."

"I’m not one. I throw everything away. I’ve been like that my whole life. My husband’s a pack rat, however, so when he’s not home, I go through his stuff and throw it away. I throw away clothes that don’t fit him any more, shoes that don’t look fit to be walking around in any more, and some garage stuff. He sometimes notices after a while that stuff is gone, and I tell him he must have lost it."
