"My parents got me a laptop for Christmas two years ago, and last Christmas they got me a PlayStation 3. They also got me a basketball hoop. I get presents on special occasions like Christmas and birthdays. I definitely appreciate presents only on special occasions. The best thing I did for someone was me and my brother making breakfast for my mom on her birthday."

"My parents got me a cell phone for Christmas two years ago. I use it mainly for texting, and sometimes calling people. You can take it to school, but you have to keep it off and in your locker. I use it about 10 times a day. I have unlimited texting, but not minutes, so I watch them. I made breakfast for my mom and dad on things like birthdays and anniversaries."

"Probably when my parents had to work up north for a while, and there was a girl who took me in when I had nowhere else to go until they came back. She was my parents’ friend, and like an aunt to me. Her daughter is my best friend. This was when I was in fifth grade. The nicest thing I ever did was lend my dad some money one time, but he paid me back."
