"She’s a rescue dog. I got her when she was 7 years old. She’d never had a name, had never been out of a cage, and never had anybody to take care of her. She couldn’t walk or do much. That was about a year-and-a-half ago, and since then she’s become my best little friend. She was diagnosed with cancer of the bladder about three weeks ago, and the vet gave her six months to live, but we don’t believe that. She’s doing great and feeling good. She’s the first person I wake up to, and the last person I go sleep with at night. She’s my little partner in crime."

"She’s a rescue dog. We got her in Lehigh Acres. She was abandoned. They (her owners) just threw her out of the car. She was skinny and really in bad shape. This was about three years ago. I saw her picture on Pug Rescue, and that was it. We went and got her, and she was starving. She’s the sweetest dog. We had another black pug, but he died. We had got her (Honey) as a companion for him, but he was killed. Now she’s started taking on her characteristics."

"We’ve had him for just over a year. We rescued him before we moved to Marco Island (from Wisconsin and Missouri). He’s friendly with just every dog. We have the Critter Cafe with doggy day care (on Marco) and he just gets along with every dog. He was a little underweight and his hair wasn’t very good because he was undernourished. My wife and I have been dog lovers all our lives and have had pets that have passed away, and we’re very happy to have him."
