On the Street

Alyssa Lopez, 5th Grade
"I usually get up at 7, and if I have time I sometimes read. If I don’t, I just get changed, brush my teeth and wait for my mom to get up. Then my brother and I eat breakfast and go to school. School is busy, especially changing classes. When I get home, I usually do homework, then ask if I can have a friend over. I watch TV some nights, usually “American Idol.” Then I read 30 minutes and go to bed at about 9:30."

Ariana Maher, 5th Grade
"I usually get up earlier than some people, about 5:45 a.m., because my sister is a panicker and won’t let me be late for school. She goes to the Charter School. I get up, get changed, brush hair, do my teeth and all that stuff. Then my mom takes us to school around 7:30. At home I usually do my homework and then play soccer with my sister. We watch a movie or TV, and I’m usually in bed by about 9."

Raul Rodriguez, 5th Grade
"I normally get up at about 7:20 in the mornings, and get ready, eat some breakfast and then go to school. In the afternoons I eat some lunch and have some milk, and then I do tennis and soccer on different days. In the evenings I do my homework, and then watch some TV. My schedule is pretty busy. I don’t think I could fill it more. I go to bed around 9."
