What inspiration did you glean from the annual Community Prayer Breakfast?
Clare Baker, Area resident
"I’ve been to one prayer breakfast before. This one was informational and inspirational. (Speaker Dr. Douglas Johnston) talk about things I hadn’t thought about before, showing that we (Americans) are not the aggressors all the time, and are trying to help other nations."
Dan Honahan, Part-time Resident
"This was my first prayer breakfast, and it was comforting and educational. Dr. Johnson spoke about people practicing different religions, and of the need for them all to come together and put differences aside. The goal would be peace on earth. It was nice to hear what people (such as Dr. Johnston’s organization, the International Center for Religion and Diplomacy) are doing behind the scenes."
Peggie Williams, Part-time Resident
"This was probably my ninth prayer breakfast. They always have an informative speaker, and this morning’s (Mar 12) was excellent. I had no idea of the organization, and I also thought how terrifying it must be for members of his organization to go into those countries (for diplomatic missions). I think it’s very courageous to do that. Also, the music was spectacular."
