Andrew Freeman, 19, volunteered with Henry Chapin Food Bank in Mississippi and Alabama the past three months to help with Gulf Coast hurricane relief efforts. Those months were supposed to be his first quarter of his freshman year at Tulane University in New Orleans but was evacuated the day after arriving because of Hurricane Katrina. Freeman said of his experience "Being able to volunteer and help people my first semester was an experience I couldn't have done anywhere else -- it was life changing". Photo taken on the front porch at his North Naples home on Wednesday December 28, 2005 in Naples.
