Jane Pauley, the former host of “Dateline NBC,” disclosed recently that she suffers with bipolar disorder. Diagnosed several years ago, Pauley has chosen to publicize her battle with the disease in order to bring awareness to the prevalent ailment. Pauley spoke at Bishop Verot High School in Fort Myers Thursday evening. The event, organized by the Ruth Cooper Center and sponsored by the Southwest Florida Community Foundation and Northern Trust, was held to increase awareness of mental disorders and to aid the Capital Campaign to fund Lee Mental Health’s Vista Center.
