Companies lauded for park restoration — Vegetation Management, a division of Forestry Resources, and EarthBalance were recognized by Lee County Parks and Recreation for its work in assisting with the recovery and restoration of Lakes Regional Park after hurricanes Charley and Wilma. A section of the park that was transformed into a wetland and seasonal pond now features a plaque dedicating it to the two organizations. Pictured here at the dedication are: Barbara Manzo, deputy director, Lee County Parks and Recreation; Mitch Moore, project manager, Earth Balance; Jim Blalock, project manager, Forestry Resources; Dave Berra, planning manager, John Yarbrough, director, Lee County Parks and Recreation; and Gary Porter, manager, Lee County Parks and Recreation.
