He said the university is greatly concerned about the lack of workforce housing and its negative effect on recruiting and retaining high-quality faculty and staff. “We are actively working with bankers, developers, attorneys, the Lee County School District and state legislators to develop workable solutions that may include low-interest loans, second mortgages with flexible terms, and land.”
