Life Scout Aaron Ladurini, son of Tammy Strauss, Ormond Beach and Marco Island Firefighter Ray Ladurini completed his Eagle Scout Project of collecting food and supplies for the local pet rescue organization ARNI (Animal Rescue Need & Intervention) Foundation after their supplies were depleted by the increased rescue population in their facility due to Hurricane Katrina pet victims. His goal of collecting 1,000 pounds of pet food and supplies was exceed by nearly 300 pounds. The citizens of Port Orange, Fla., helped make Aaron's project a success and helped the voiceless victims of Hurricane Katrina. Aaron should be completing the final requirements for Eagle Scout in the coming months. Aaron was a longtime resident of Marco Island attending Tommie Barfield Elementary School and Marco Island Charter School prior to moving to the Daytona Beach area with his family.
