See smaller U.S. Army Pvt. Raymond Hazzard graduated from Infantry Training Dec. 9, 2005. He is the grandson of former long-time residents Ronald and Betty Strauss and son of Tammy Strauss, Ormond Beach, Fla. He was initially assigned to Charlie Company/52 INF at Fort Lewis, Washington. He has since deployed to somewhere in northern Iraq as replacements for the 172 Stryker Bridgade that was relocated to Baghdad. He attended Lely High School and was an active member of the Army Junior ROTC unit.
