Ricky Brack practices bull riding with the help of Savannah Griffin, another rider, on a barrel covered in carpeting strung up between two trees as another rider waits his turn in the background. "We've gotten compliments [on our riding] from tons of people. They'll say, "Wow, you're really good for someone who just rides once a month [at Bull Pit]. They don't know that we have barrels we practice with." Ricky and a few other bull riders were taught how to make them and put them up in the trees a couple years ago. "What's the big, hard thing about it, is keeping your balance because your balance is all on a little cable. It teaches you a lot about balance and body control and gets you to think a lot faster. That thing will turn completely sideways or completely over," says Brack.
