I Selected this photo as my favorite of the year simply because the look of joy on Jake's face still makes me smile nearly four months after shooting it. I remember learning to swim, in my case a little later in life than Jake, but I can still remember the feeling of freedom from being mobile in the water, and I would like to think I had the same sensation of joy that Jake had.
