In this archive photo from 2006, the multi level go-cart track at Zoomers Family Amusement Park south of Fort Myers runs both outside and inside. The track meanders along the back and side of the building before racing through the front wall, swooping through the building and emerging out the back wall again. The dormant project, which has become a familiar reminder of hard economic times for those who pass the intersection of Summerlin Road and San Carlos Boulevard, is tentatively scheduled to open in late May or early June.
