Seven of 26 homes, constructed through the Empowerment Alliance of Southwest Florida and National Development of America, were dedicated in the subdivision that was made possible by $750,000 in grants for the purchase of the land and installation of infrastructure and $1.3 million in loans used to subsidize the prices of the homes to make them affordable to very low-income households. Mortgages on the homes are about $85,000 for a three-bedroom and $90,000 for a four-bedroom.
