Florida softshell turtle
With its large disk-shaped soft shell and long pointy nose, there's no way you'll mistake this peculiar looking turtle for any of its cousins. They can reach a fantastic size of 24 inches in length, and are generally seen crossing roads, heading toward bodies of freshwater to lay eggs.
