Crested caracara
A large, unusual raptor of open savannas and rangelands, caracaras are related to falcons. With a long neck and legs, dark crest and bare red face, this species is unmistakable. Another Florida specialty, it is also found through Central and South America. Carrion makes up the bulk of its diet.
