Daniel Quiroz, 12, of Lehigh Acres, plays in a bounce house at the Estates Community Family Fun Day Carnival at Palmetto Ridge High School on Saturday. Quiroz was with his brother and mother, who is a receptionist at the school. The event ran from noon to 5 p.m. and helped raise money primarily for student government and individual clubs and groups at Palmetto Ridge and also a few other area schools. The communitywide event cost $15 for unlimited admission to all rides. The event also included, food, face painting and a book fair.
