The Popeye's Famous Chicken boat came in third in its division. The results of the race are unofficial pending an investigation brought on by an incident between the Popeye's boat and the Speed Racer boat that left these scars along the tail of the Popeye's boat and a gouge along the inner wall of one of the Speed Racer boat's fins.
