Andrea Schmenkel and her husband, Bob Kowal, had their Marco Island home broken into in August 2004. The intruder broke the window of a bedroom, background, and entered the home with a knife. The man was found innocent by reason of insanity, and the couple still fights for restitution for the broken window that hasn't been fixed.
