Hope, a two-year-old husky, now weighs 55 pounds, after emaciating to 17 pounds when she was left to die behind an Immokalee home a year ago. David and Peggy Parton of Marco Island came to the aid of the dog, paid its medical bills and adopted it. Hope is full of life and plays with three other dogs the Partons have.
