Members of Residence Beach donated funds for two benches in memory of victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. One bench is in honor of Michele Heidenberger, a flight attendant and part-time Islander who was aboard the plane that crashed into the Pentagon building. The other is in memory of all those lost in the tragedy and their loves ones who live on.
