Thousands of motorists and passengers daily see the nearly blank back of the Staver Field scoreboard at Naples High School. Two mascot heads are all that remain from a DeVoe auto dealership sign that city of Naples zoning rules have deemed too large. The city zoning office says DeVoe peeled off the plastic lettering and has petitoned for a variance for a sign that replaces some of the car ads with a schedule of games. Works for me.
