The suspect, Scotty Ray Hilton, 26, 1824 Dogwood Drive, is treated by a paramedic before being transferred to the hospital. Hilton had abrasions on his face and had to be transported to the hospital because of possible head and chest injuries, since he was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. Brothers Matthew and Michael Danforth chased the suspect for about 60 yards when he tried to flee the scene, and kept him subdued until police arrived. Hilton was charged with driving under the influence, crashes involving damage to vehicles or property and driving under the influence with property damage.
