Jorge Ramirez may be the last person to cross the much maligned Kent Road bridge in Bonita Springs. For years, the bridge has served as a shortcut from East Terry Street to Bonita Beach Road. Workers for John Barker General Contractors removed the Kent Road bridge in chunks, a project about three years in the making due to permits being denied. The crew started work at 7 a.m. Tuesday and had expected to have it completely removed by the end of the day.
