Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder:
This guy wins my decorator of the year award. Burrowing owls decorate their burrows by lining the entrance with materials, including sea shells and manure. One theory is that burrowing owls decorate to help camouflage the burrow from predators, another is that owls use the decoration to attract prey. While dad is outside, Mom is inside the burrow watching over her eggs/hatchlings. Baby picture will follow soon!
