The St. Mark’s Birthday Cake takes the cake! It took parishioner Maria Jackson, less than 24 hours to actually execute her design for the prized confection, but in reality she began conceptualizing it throughout the month prior. The multi-layers, constructed in tiers, depicted a tropical scene entirely edible with the exception of the seashells surrounding it. Jackson, a native of Venezuela, attended the event with her husband Craig and daughters Ambar and Cristal. “This church family is my second home,” she beamed.
