Immokalee High School sophomore Eusyher Mendoza, right, senior Lisette Luviano, center, and sophomore Eleisia Gomez, left, all members of the Better Education Through Achievement club, carry some of the 458 poinsettias the school sold to a teacher's car. The seasonal flowers, which cost $12 per plant, are being sold to raise money for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life in March, held at the high school track. Members of the BETA club delivered many of the flowers Wednesday to area schools and other businesses. Another shipment of about 250 flowers will arrive at the school next week, most of which are still not sold. To purchase the flowers contact Linda Ayer, activities coordinator at Immokalee High School, at (239) 377-1818.
