Volunteer Thelma Phillips sew a Cool Tie that will be sent to a soldier in Iraq through A Stitch Connection inside Jo-Ann Fabrics & Crafts in Naples on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007. Inserted into the Cool Ties were cooling crystals intended to help the soldiers stay cool. The volunteers also sewed Helmet Kisses that also contained the cooling crystals inside the fabric.
