Omar Solomon works on finishing the new turf field created by FieldTurf at Barron Collier High School on Tuesday. Solomon and other workers were installing the new field, the first of its kind in Collier County, that will be used for football and soccer games. The first game on the new field, which cost more than $800,000 and is expected to last more than 10 years, will be Barron Collier’s Sept. 28 homecoming game.
