The animals found on the search will be used in one of the two touch tanks at the Environmental Learning Center that is opening to the public on Saturday. The National Estuaries Day celebration event will also include boat tours, kayaking, live animals, lab tours, live music, face painting and various presentations at the Environmental Learning Center at the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. Admission to the event is free. Employees including Jill Schmid, Christina Panko and Beverly Anderson also searched for marine life at Tigertail Beach and were able to find fiddler crabs, a moon snail, spider crab, crown conch and a pear whelk that will be placed in one of the two touch tanks.
