At 56 degrees and with a 15 mph wind gusting at the start, Sunday's 19th annual Naples Daily News Half Marathon wasn't the coldest on record. It was close, though. The distinction belongs to the 1997 edition, which kicked off at 7:03 that morning 11 years ago with the mercury stuck on a frigid 36 degrees. Roughly 1,400 runners lined up on Fifth Avenue South to compete in the Naples Daily News Half Marathon on Sunday, January 20, 2008.
