Registered voter Mari-Lynn McGregor receives a demonstration from volunteer diplomat Jack Patterson about the new voting machines constituents will see when they hit the polls in the next several weeks. The new voting procedure includes filling in circles and scanning the ballot in order to have an electronic count as well as a paper trail in place of the previous electronic touch screen method. The Supervisor of Elections Collier County will be holding several demonstrations on the island in the coming weeks, including Orion Bank 3:00-5:30 p.m. Friday, St. Marks Episcopal Parish Hall 10:30 a.m. Sunday and Marco Island Library 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday.
