Fort Myers set a daily record for rainfall Saturday, receiving three inches at Page Field, according to the National Weather Service.  The heavy rainfall continued through Sunday with a rain gauge at Page Field recording more than two inches. A gauge at the Naples Regional Airport recorded considerably less rain over the weekend, receiving .41 inches on Saturday and .61 inches on Sunday. The previous record for rainfall on July 12 was 2.43 inches set in 1975.  Forecasters predict similar weather conditions to follow throughout the week.
