On Thursday, about 70 people received help with the opening of a food pantry at St. Matthew's House of Treasures Thrift Shop in Bonita Springs. To qualify for food assistance twice a month, clients must be Lee County residents, have a Social Security card for themselves and all children, have small children, be over 50 or be on disability.
