Chris Curle Special To The Eagle This rare wood and gilt weathervane, representing the Archangel Gabriel, got an expert repair job at the Island Woodshop on Marco. Now the piece, created in 1721, resides on the property of one of America's most prominent and popular female TV stars. She reportedly paid big bucks for it at an auction house in New York. An antique trader called Jim and Linda Chute of Island Woodshop and asked whether he could restore the piece. "We had it 24 hours, made the repairs put together a shipping crate, then someone picked it up in a Cadillac Escalade," Jim says. FYI, many Christians believe Archangel Gabriel will blow the trumpet blast that begins the Apocalypse. Meantime, Gabriel is the patron of broadcasters, television, radio and postal workers, philatelists, messengers and the country of Portugal. Source, Suite101com, an interactive online magazine.
