Empty lots with overgrown landscaping at Via Veneto is a sign of the financial problems Treviso Bay in East Naples is having. The community of Via Veneto is "insolvent" according to Bill Westman, real estate agent who represents properties in the community. "The only money coming in is from people who live here," said Westman. "There's no money to pay for maintenance." The developer of Treviso Bay, V.K. Development Corp. of Wisconsin, is trying to fight off foreclosure, but he golf course and the resort-style community in eastern Collier County are now in the hands of a receiver. Lexey Swall/Staff
