Rogelio Perez, 13, right, gets a little help with a stretch from instructor Wanda Norris, as his classmates Hernan Tovar, 12, center, Delfino Lopez, 12, left, and Jesus Yanez, 11, stretch before exercising in the after school program at Bonita Springs Middle School. The Bonita Springs YMCA announced last week it received a $1.1 million grant from the state's 21st Century Community Learning Centers program. It is the first time the grant has been awarded in Lee County, and will help the YMCA administer an after-school program to students from Bonita Springs Middle and Bonita Springs Elementary schools. The five-year grant will cover the costs of the after-school program fully for the first two years. Lexey Swall/Staff
