See smaller U.S. Rep. John Boehner, R-Ohio, wanted Stan Gober to think big when it came to having a flag that flew over the capitol on a flag pole at Stan's Idle Hour in Goodland.. The presumed House Speaker had the 20-foot flag pole replaced with a 36-foot pole that went skyward. In January Boehner will take his position as leader of the House and will have his own goals to work on the myriad of problems the country faces.
