A Marco Island Utilities Maintenance Deaprtment worker is down in a hole, cleaning off an eight-foot section of sewer pipe that split around 5 p.m. on Thursday. The split occured at the intersection of Sixth Avenue and Yellowbird Street. Service was not disrupted and it was expected that the repair would be completed by 8 p.m.
