Submitted A polka-dot batfish is one of the regular inhabitants of Rookery Bay Estuary. Because of its unusual features and its uniqueness, the baitfish was selected as the mascot of the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. The Friends of Rookery selected the baitfish as its official mascot and are conducting a Name the Mascot contest.
