Lexey Swall/Staff Sparky, an 8-year-old Dachshund, was rescued by Naples residents Jim and Linda Glasson in June. They adopted Sparky in Miami after his former owners took him to the vet to be euthanized because he was burned on 30-40 percent of his body. Sparky has healed and adjusted to his new home and now has his own blog on Facebook. People from all over the world have sent Sparky gifts and Christmas cards.
