Representatives from Reading is Fundamental (RIF) were on hand on Monday at the Immokalee Community School to give away free books to students. Earlier this year Congress eliminated RIF's entire $24.8 million allocation from the federal budget, threatening to end the 45-year-old program that so far has dispensed 380 million free books over four and a half decades.
