See smaller Jessica and Todd Bergel and their two boys stand by what might be the foundation of their new home, an Insulated Concrete Form (ICF). The blocks are stacked like bricks, and then concrete is poured in between creating an energy reservoir keeping the cold out and the heat in or vise versa. All the materials are made from recycled goods with a number five on them. The Bergel's want to be as energy efficient as possible and plan on the whole family getting involved to help build their dream home. Kelli Stanko/Special to the Daily News.
