Florida Highway Patrol troopers and Collier Sheriff's deputies investigate the scene of a single-vehicle collision on Pine Ridge Road in East Naples just under the Interstate 75 bridge on Monday morning. Driver Christopher Slaby, who was ejected from the vehicle, was airlifted to Lee Memorial Hospital in critical condition after he lost control of his vehicle, which flipped multiple times. There were two other passengers in the collision. Randi Marie MacLeod, 25, who was also not wearing a seatbelt, sustained minor injuries. A 1-year-old passenger, Ava Grace Slaby, who was secure in a child restraint device during the crash, was not injured. The collision forced Collier drivers to find alternate routes as Pine Ridge Road was closed under the bridge for about two hours. Aaron Hale/Staff.
