Vultures congregate on the grounds of the Guadalupe Center's Early Childhood Learning Center in Immokalee on Monday morning. The increased numbers of vultures this year have baffled school officials - who are trying to figure out a humane way to rid the property of the birds. In addition to creating a mess of excrement and feathers on the school's patio, the vultures also picked apart the external hoses on the building's air conditioning unit, causing the system to fail.
