Sister Trinita Balbach gives communion to Yolanda Herrera in the home of Herrera's mother in East Naples. Among several other duties she does for Saint Peter the Apostle Church, Sister Balbach goes to the homes of members who are shut in to give communion. Herrera's mother is sick and homebound but was sleeping during Sister Balbach's visit and could not receive communion. On June 7, Sister Balbach, 86, will return to Aston, Penn., where she began her vocation with the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia. Sister Balbach, has worked at St. Peter the Apostle Church for nearly 20 years. Before that she was the principal of St. Ann Catholic School. Sister Balbach entered the Sisters of St. Francis in 1944 when she was 19-years-old. "I was in the eighth grade - I can remember walking home and saying 'I want to be a sister,'" Balbach said.
