Lake Park Elementary School Assistant Principal Ronna Smith ushers students ushers students on campus after they were driven through the neighborhood to the school by a police officer while officials try to corral a male black bear Wednesday morning. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission received a call around 7 a.m. that there was a black bear between Coastland Center Mall and Naples High School. Naples Police responded to calls after the bear had traveled west of U.S. 41 and tracked the bear to where it was finally captured on 13th Street North in Naples. The FWC will transport the bear to Picayune Strand State Forest. Lexey Swall/Staff
