Bonita Springs Fire Commissioner Evans Conforti listens as fellow commissioner Ed FitzGerald suggests cutting positions from the Bonita Springs Fire Control and Rescue District during a budget workshop held Wednesday to address a potential million dollar shortfall this budget season. FitzGerald proposed cutting two public information officers, deputy chiefs and training officers, among other things to help cut the budget. The savings from the proposed cuts would be more than $580,000.
